HIOKI Sustainability Activities


Acquisition of third-party certification in 2023, carbon-neutral gas is offset and displayed.
Investing an equivalent amount in carbon credits and non-fossil certificates according to Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
We have established 2025 as the year of the circular economy and set the following goals:
■ Goal: To make 50% of products that use plastic into products made from recycled plastic.

※: [Denominator] The number of main product model names that use plastic.
■ Period: March 25, 2025 – January 1, 2030
■ Conditions for Achievement:
(1) Limited to main products that use plastic.
(2) Recycled plastic will be produced using scrap generated during the manufacturing process of plastic parts used in HIOKI products.
(3) The use of recycled plastic will be progressively implemented in all products, including portable cases, test leads, plastic bags, and cushioning materials, but these will not be included in the current goal.

TNFD
Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures
・In 1988, all HIOKI employees planted approximately 60,000 saplings to create the HIOKI Forest Hills Forest in an effort to “restore the nature that was lost during the construction of the plant. This forest is home to valuable plants, insects, and animals.
Today, approximately 90,000 trees, plants, and animals coexist in the forest.
・”Japanese Only” HIOKI is participating in Ueda City’s “Nigiyakana Mori Project” to conserve local forests. This is connected to activities to protect the forest ecosystem.
・HIOKI purchases J-credits derived from forests in Nagano Prefecture.
These costs are used to conserve forests and protect living organisms in Nagano Prefecture.

Eelgrass is seen as a part of local natural environment protection and environmental education. We help people understand the importance of ecosystems through our eelgrass seedling program.
